When I began working with PCADV, the organization was in the middle of a major transition. There was no fundraising plan, key roles were vacant, and there was low organizational confidence in fundraising efforts. They needed more than a consultant—they needed a steady hand to help rebuild from the ground up.
I stepped in to understand not just their immediate needs, but the bigger picture: a statewide coalition largely reliant on government funding, navigating how to grow support from corporate, foundation, and individual donors. It was a moment that called for both strategy and sensitivity—managing change while earning trust across the organization.
Together, we reimagined the development department. I supported leadership through key hires, helped shape a realistic and mission-aligned development plan, and laid the groundwork for a healthier, more sustainable approach to fundraising.
Today, PCADV has a high-functioning development team that is consistently increasing revenue year over year. Being part of that turning point—helping them move from uncertainty to momentum—is the kind of work that makes this job meaningful.
